Einn Jacket
Einn Jacket
The Einn jacket is a hardshell outer for harsh conditions.
This jacket is constructed of SWB-Tex (3-Ply) Waterproof, breathable and windproof material. This is a three-ply fabric with a micro-porous Teflon (PTFE) layer sandwiched between an outer shell fabric and a tricot mesh.
All zippers are ultra-waterproof all-weather constructed, and are easily-usable with or without gloves on. All seams are stitched with Gutermann MARA 50 thread. This is a very strong, high-quality 100% polyester thread commonly used for webbing, reinforcement areas, or any application where a stronger, more abrasion resistant thread is needed.
Seams are then reinforced with Melco seam-sealing tape for 3-ply fabrics, and are applied as the garment is constructed, which stitches the seam-taping into adjacent panels. Additionally, heavily-stitched areas of the fabric are backed with Gunold Thermoseal.
All reinforcements are done with Pellon non-woven, spun-bound, heat-bonded and stitched interfacing.
During manufacturing, all sewing is performed WITHOUT pins, and only Microtex needles are used. This limits the amount of porosity introduced at the stitchlines, and provides for a tighter construction.
